Our primary responsibility is to provide a safe, secure, healthy, comfortable and happy environment for your rabbits while you are away. Click the links to the left to read more about the various aspects of our care. We have tried to cover those areas of greatest interest to most rabbit moms and dads.
If you have a special interest or concern that has not been covered on our site, we urge you to contact us via email or cell phone. We are always open to new ways to improve our service and our website.
Our ultimate goal is to serve you and your rabbits, and provide them the closest thing possible to a "Home Away From Home".
We always look forward to hearing from our rabbit loving friends.

Facilities
Our boarding facilities are indoors in our own home, and are set up especially with rabbits in mind. We currently have 3 large pens to offer space and room for exercise, so if you have bonded pairs, we can take 6 or more rabbits at one time. The environment is quiet, very clean, and includes night lights, carpets, rugs, water and feeding bowls, etc. (Check out our facilities pictures in our photo gallery). We limit ourselves so we can provide plenty of care, supervision and attention. We visit with your rabbits between feedings to check on them, and if they are interested, we will pet, play and cuddle with them.
We ask that you bring toys, special rugs or towels (for your scent), chew toys, and any special 'houses' or boxes for them to feel safe and comforted.
We will do our best to see that they remain safe and content while you are away on business or pleasure.
Feeding
We will feed your rabbits according to your instructions and timetable. We will provide fresh water and Timothy hay daily (we use Timothy to make sure you 'kids' don't get too much calcium in their diet, which can lead to troubles such as bladder stones). You should plan on providing greens (bagged please), pellets, treats and any special supplements they normally receive at home. We prefer they continue eating foods they are accustomed to, since rabbits are sensitive to disruptions in their routines and environments (some more than others). We also require feeding instructions in writing (by rabbit name) so we make sure your rabbits all get exactly what they need.
We can provide greens and pellets at an additional charge for each rabbit, but we still need written instructions to be sure we give them the proper foods and quantities at the appropriate interval.
Cleaning
As I do with my own rabbits, all pens are cleaned every day. We empty all litter boxes and provide fresh litter, dump yesterday's water and give them fresh water, change towels and linens, remove all 'cocao puffs', and make sure their accommodations are comfortable, cozy and snuggly. Our pens never smell due to lack of attention or lack of cleanliness. (my husband accuses me of being a 'clean freak'). Standard litter is provided at our expense. If your rabbits need special litter, please bring enough with you to last their entire stay.
Attention
Every rabbit is a unique individual. Some love attention, playing, head rubs, snuggling, and tug-o-war. And others tell us in their own special way, "Thanks anyway!". We love to play with bunnies who come to visit us if they enjoy it. It is always helpful to have a brief rundown of your rabbits' personalities, their likes and dislikes, whether they are social or solitary, etc. This also helps us to spot unusual behavior that is out of character.
This small business is an extension of my natural love for my own rabbits, and animals in general, so it is a pleasure to play with your rabbits. Your guidance is always helpful.
Medications
Our daily boarding rate does not include the adminstering of any special medications or procedures (providing snacks and oral supplements is no extra charge). If your rabbit needs any special medical attention, this must be discussed up front, and we will quote you the per diem rate for whatever special attention is required. We require that any instructions for medications or related procedures be specific, clear and in writing.
If your rabbit gets sick or exhibits any suspicious behavior while in our care, we will attempt to call you on your cell phone or at the contact numbers you provide. If we cannot reach you and deem it necessary, we will take your rabbit to your vet (or ours) for diagnosis or treatment, with all bills sent to your for payment. We will also add $10 per visit to your boarding bill for our time.
We try to be aware of any unusual activity or symptoms and watch them closely. We certainly try not to overreact, but we would rather be too cautious than too lacidaisical. Most pet owners truly appreciate this attentiveness and it is one of the reasons people leave their rabbits with us. But, we cannot assume responsibility for vet bills and will will require your agreement, authorization and release to treat on your behalf. We know that you want the best for your rabbits and we aim to act responsibly on your behalf.
Your Responsibilities
In order to do the best job possible caring for your companions, we need your help. The more you communicate the characters, personalities, medical issues and special needs of your rabbits, the better prepared we are to take care of them. The below points will insure you understand our responsibilities and yours, and help avoid any potential misunderstandings. Most importantly, it will help us do a better job.
Fee Schedule
Our basic fee schedule is $12 per night for the first rabbit, and $6 per night for each additional rabbit. We include fresh water and Timothy hay, fresh litter, pen cleaning, bowls for food and water, linens, towels and rugs, care and observation, feedings, exercise periods, and of course, head rubs and snuggles (if accepted and welcome).
If you'd rather have us provide fresh greens, they are $1 per day per rabbit. Pellets are an additional $1 per day per rabbit (Timothy hay only). Please be sure to provide us with detailed feeding instructions for each rabbit.
Our basic fee does NOT include fresh greens, pellets, medications, special procedures, diagnostics, vet bills, emergency/routine trips to the vet or special care. Administration of medications or special procedures are NOT included in our basic fee. If your rabbits require special attention, I will be able to provide a quote for these services after I understand the exact nature and involvement.
Payment is required in full at the time you pick up your rabbits. We accept cash or checks, but do NOT accept any credit or debit cards. We require a 50% nonrefundable deposit during holiday periods, per our brochures.
All customers must complete and sign our Boarding Agreement before we can board their rabbits. The agreement is available for download in the Documents section of our website.
